Support Groups and Classes coming to Salem Cancer Institute
We are happy to announce that as of November 21st, the support groups, classes and programs of the Mid Valley Cancer Care Community will be merging with the Salem Cancer Institute.
Mid Valley Cancer Care Community is a local non-profit organization that has been offering support services for people in our community living with cancer for over three years.
Although they will be closing their doors, their established services will carry on through the Salem Cancer Institute.
We are working together to make it a smooth transition and ensure the services continue to be available to those that need them.
The schedule is still being finalized, but our plan is to maintain the support groups and exercise classes keeping to the current schedule as much as possible.
In the Spring we will have dedicated space for Carolyn’s Library, a resource library donated by the Harris family in memory of Carolyn who passed away from breast cancer.
The family is excited about the transition to the Salem Cancer Institute and feels the library will be even more accessible to cancer patients and their families.
Services will continue at Mid Valley Cancer Care Community through November 21st. We will share the new schedule as soon as it is complete.
